Crew Dragon arriva alla Stazione Spaziale: l’attracco della navicella di Elon Musk

La capsula Crew Dragon della SpaceX si è agganciata alle 16.16 italiane alla Stazione Spaziale Internazionale, automaticamente e senza bisogno di assistenza. L’attracco è avvenuto a 19 ore dal lancio della Dragon dal Kennedy Space Center. SpaceX,  la prima compagnia privata al mondo a mandare in orbita gli astronauti, ha riportato l’america nello spazio.

A bordo della navicella ci sono gli astronauti Bob Behnken e Douglas Hurley, hanno assistito alle operazioni pronti a prendere il comando in caso di problemi.

Il lancio nello spazio è avvenuto alle 21:22 italiane dalla piattaforma 39A di Cape Canaveral. Per la prima volta dopo poco meno di dieci anni due astronauti americani ritornano nello spazio partendo dal suolo americano.

In pochi minuti il razzo ha raggiunto una velocità di 11mila chilometri orari, dovrà raggiungere circa 28mila chilometri. Dopo circa due miuti lo sganciamento del primo stadio del razzo. Primo stadio atterrerà su una chiatta al largo della Florida. Previsto alle 16:29 di domani l’aggancio con la Stazione Spaziale Internazionale.

La missione segna l’ingresso dei privati dello spazio: al progetto ha lavorato infatti con la Nasa la Space di X di Elon Musk, il tycoon patròn della Tesla e ideatore del prima sistema di pagamento elettronico paypal. Solo un paio di ore fa la luce verde per le condizioni meteorologiche che inizialmente non erano risultate ottimali. Il volo era stato programmato per mercoledì scorso ma era stato rimandato a causa del maltempo. Temporali avrebbero potuto colpire il veicolo spaziale.
